Whether relaxing with a pint of ale and a plate of fish and chips in our Pub, indulging in exquisite culinary creations in our Dining Room or enjoying an exclusive private dinner in The Club, you’ll find only the finest in great British food, service and comfort awaits.

Pub

A slice of cosy countryside in the heart of the city, here you’ll find real local ales, fine single malt scotch and hearty pub classics with a luxurious Mayfair twist. Pull up in a banquette and savour burgers layered with British cheeses, rare breed steaks and market fresh battered fish with triple-cooked chips. Make sure to try our very own Punchbowl 1750 ale, brewed especially for you, our esteemed patrons.

Head upstairs to our brand new Dining Room on the first floor where glass, gold and mirrors collide with a glamourous art deco nod to Mayfair’s opulent history. Fine wines, delicate British flavours and tantalising cocktails are the name of the game here.

Great British Food

Britain is a country rich in ancient forests, breathtaking lochs and bountiful rivers and fields with produce and ingredients that can rival any gastronomic capital. Our menus celebrate this produce and heritage with our Head Chef Nathan Andrews giving a luxurious twist to pub favorites and classic dishes using only the finest British ingredients.

A chef since the age of 17 and trained in cooking school in the New Forest, Nathan has worked at the helm of many Michelin-starred kitchens and his passion for British food shines through in our menus. From creative plates of milk poached cod with Welsh rarebit and steaks cooked to perfection, all the way down to our sticky toffee pudding, expect to taste the best of Britain with us.

Our Story

Every stage of Mayfair’s hallowed history has been one of luxury, wealth and fine living. From bohemian playground, to wartime stronghold and thriving financial mecca, the history of London’s most coveted district is a hallowed scroll of glitzy parties, royal occasions and high society – and The Punchbowl has stood at the heart of it all.

Ever since 1729, The Punchbowl has been providing its esteemed players and patrons with a place to relax, dine and entertain – where ideas were provoked and dreams and ambitions were born. Even after a grand refurbishment many features of our heritage and the Grade II listed tavern remain. Today, however, we’re not just celebrating our prestigious past but also looking forward to the next era of Mayfair’s history, bringing together the modern tastemakers and innovators to see what the next centuries will have in store. Whether it be a traditional Sunday roast or an entrepreneurial workshop, we want to bring people together to celebrate the best of Britain.

Events

From butchery masterclasses to decadent wine tastings, we’ll be celebrating the best of British produce with our upcoming events. But it’s not all just about food and drink, we’ll be inviting Britain’s finest makers and minds, movers and shakers to share their passions and ideas, over a glass or two of delicious wine of course.

    Celebrate the end of the game season with a day out sharpening your shooting skills before returning to a delicious 3 course lunch of great British game.

    Make sure to join us on Sundays for our brand new Sunday Lunch menu filled with exquisite British dishes and our own take on the classic Sunday roast.
